Cuddlydoo – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information for Cuddlydoo ("Cuddlydoo," "we," "us," "our"). It applies to our websites, web apps, and mobile/tablet apps (the "Products"). By using the Products, you consent to this Policy. If you reside outside your country of use, you understand your data may be processed in other countries (including the United States) with different privacy laws.
Definitions
"Personal Information" = data that identifies or can contact you (e.g., name, address, phone, email).
"Anonymous Information" = data not linked to Personal Information and not identifying a person.
Information We Collect
A) From you (parent/guardian)
- Account: name, email, password.
- Optional: profile details.
- Social login: name, email, and any items disclosed during the login flow.
- Newsletter: name, email.
- Surveys/support: info you provide (e.g., opinions, phone, messages).
- Payments: card or other payment details processed by our payments provider (we do not store full card numbers).
B) About your child (to provide wellness features)
- Name, birthdate, age, gender, time zone.
- Daily routines: sleep patterns, how they fall asleep/wake, caregiving arrangements.
- Schedules: meals, activities, bedtime, put-down times.
- Feeding/eating habits; bathroom habits.
- Temperament, behavior, development markers.
- Any other child info you choose to submit.
Used only to deliver our services and kept in strict confidence.
C) Automatically when you use the Products
- IP address, device/browser type, plugins, OS, screen size/resolution, access times/dates, approximate location.
- In-app events and interactions (e.g., buttons clicked, usage/progress/performance).
How We Collect/Store
Cookies and similar tech: session and persistent cookies required for core functionality, sign-in, personalization, and cross-app experiences. Blocking cookies may break the Products.
Third-party cookies may be set (e.g., analytics, ads). Their use is governed by their policies.
Advertising partners (e.g., Google, Microsoft, Meta, others) may use cookies to show ads based on your interests and activity on our Products and across the web.
Emails may include beacons/pixels to know if opened or acted upon.
Mobile apps store data on your device; we also store data on servers/databases we manage and/or that are hosted by third parties.
How We Use Information
- Provide, personalize, improve, and secure the Products; support your account; enable features.
- Send transactional emails (e.g., password resets), informational emails (e.g., newsletters), and promotional emails (e.g., offers).
- Create Anonymous Information (e.g., de-identifying copies of data). We may use and disclose Anonymous Information at our discretion.
- Conduct research and publish aggregate, de-identified findings (e.g., conferences, journals). No Personal Information is used or disclosed in such publications.
- If you use multiple Cuddlydoo apps, we may auto-populate your info across them to streamline setup.
How We Share Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information, except as you authorize.
Service providers: we share Personal Information with vendors that operate or support our Products (e.g., sleep/behavioral services, email delivery, analytics, payments). They may use Personal Information only to provide services to us.
Business transfers: Personal Information may be disclosed in mergers, acquisitions, financings, asset sales, or bankruptcy.
Legal/safety: we may disclose Personal Information if required by law/subpoena/warrant, or to protect rights, property, safety, or investigate violations of law or our terms/policies.
Your Choices
Emails: manage preferences for informational and promotional emails. Transactional emails will still be sent while your account is active.
Cookies/Ads: control cookies in your browser/mobile settings; opt out of interest-based ads via industry tools (e.g., NAI/DAA/EU choices).
Access/Update/Delete: update account info in the Products or contact us. You may request deletion of your Personal Information. We may retain data as required by law or for limited periods; when deleted, we retain de-identified data derived from your use. If you have accounts in multiple Cuddlydoo apps, delete each app's data separately.
Children's Privacy
Our Products are used by parents/guardians; we collect child data only as provided by parents/guardians to operate the Products.
We do not knowingly collect Personal Information directly from children under 13. If we learn a child under 13 provided Personal Information, we will delete it promptly.
Child data you provide is used only to deliver services and is kept in strict confidence.
Do Not Track
We track your usage within our Products to provide functionality and personalization; we do not respond to DNT signals.
We do not track you across third-party websites to directly target ads there; however, advertising networks and third-party sites may track your browsing when they serve content/ads.
Third-Party Sites/Services
Third-party websites/products/services and their content are subject to their own policies. Their tracking technologies (e.g., cookies, beacons) are not covered by this Policy.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect Personal Information, but no method is 100% secure.
You acknowledge that security safeguards can be circumvented and that internet transmission involves risks beyond our control. We are not responsible for information you release yourself or authorize us to release.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. For material changes, we will notify you via in-app notice or email (if on file) and post the updated Policy. Changes take effect for new users immediately; for existing users, 5 calendar days after notice/posting. Continued use after that means you accept the changes. If you object, stop using the Products and close your account.
